Latham & Watkins, Northridge, Joffe & Associés Act On Red Bull KTM MotoGP Team’s Acquisition

Latham & Watkins, Northridge, along with Joffe & Associés advised on the acquisition of Red Bull KTM Tech3 MotoGP team.

The transaction marks a significant institutional investment into MotoGP, coming in the wake of Liberty Media Corporation’s acquisition of the championship and underscoring growing private capital interest in elite global motorsports assets.

Latham & Watkins advised Main Street Advisors on its consortium-led acquisition of the Red Bull KTM Tech3 MotoGP team, one of the longest-standing teams competing in the MotoGP World Championship. The investor group includes Bolt Ventures, led by David Blitzer, IKON Capital and other partners.

The Latham team was led by New York Corporate Partner David Beller, London Sports Partner Patrick Mitchell, and London Corporate Partner Hector Sants.

Northridge acted for IKON Capital on its investment in the Tech3 MotoGP team and related leadership arrangements, including the appointment of former Haas F1 Team Principal Guenther Steiner as Chief Executive Officer and Richard Coleman as Team Principal.

The Northridge team comprised Ian Lynam, Philippa Scott, Anna Corderoy and Lucinda Bayley.

Joffe & Associés advised IKON Capital on French law aspects of the transaction.
